Product Overview

Alseal AS-8028 is a solvent-based contact adhesive that bonds on contact. Applied to both surfaces and allowed to become touch-dry before joining, it creates an immediate, permanent bond the moment the two surfaces are pressed together - no clamping, no waiting, no compromise. Its brown finish blends naturally with wood, laminate, and leather substrates for a clean, professional result.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Instant Contact Bond - Creates a strong, permanent bond the moment coated surfaces are pressed together, eliminating the need for clamps or mechanical fasteners.
  • High Initial Tack - Aggressive grab strength ensures materials hold precisely in position from the first press, reducing rework and waste on the job.
  • Flexible After Cure - Remains resilient and flexible once set, accommodating thermal expansion, vibration, and minor substrate movement without cracking or delaminating.
  • Heat & Moisture Resistant - Maintains bond integrity in humid and moderately high-temperature environments, making it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor-sheltered applications.
  • Wide Substrate Compatibility - Bonds wood, plywood, MDF, high-pressure laminates (HPL), rubber, leather, foam, fabric, metal, and most rigid construction materials.
  • Easy Brush or Trowel Application - Smooth, consistent viscosity allows clean application with a brush, roller, or notched spreader across both small and large surface areas.
  • 650ML Can - Generous volume for medium-to-large bonding tasks, with a re-sealable lid to preserve the adhesive between uses.
  • Carton of 12 - Efficient bulk trade packaging for workshops, contractors, distributors, and hardware retailers.

  • Press firmly and evenly across the entire bond area using a rubber roller or firm hand pressure to ensure full surface contact.
  • Allow full cure before subjecting the bond to stress or load-bearing conditions.
